Danan is an orphan, sent to be looked after by his uncle Basho, who is a fisherman. He can’t take care of the boy properly so he has sent him to a monastery. In his free time, Danan goes to a photographer’s studio, because he wants to send a photo of himself in his Buddhist robes to his aged grandmother, but he can’t pay. The photographer agrees to take and send the pictures to the old lady, as long as Danan then poses for him for a private project. Of course the photographer wants to see and photograph the young boy nude, and the boy obliges happily. Of course the photographer hopes that it might go farther, but he is probably surprised to see what the uncle gets up to, in front of the camera…
